My 1.2m slice of the ocean.

My Clowns have been hosting in the frogspwan foe a while now so added a bubble tip today.
How do I get them to host or even go close the the anemone.

I would move the frogspawn or the anemone so that they are close to each other. Then I would place a container or something similar over the frogspawn to prevent the clown's from getting to it. Hopefully soon they will host in the bubble tip. Once that happens place the frog spawn back where it was but still keep it covered for a week or two.

Another method is catching the clowns and taking the bubble tip and place them together in a bucket or even your quarantine tank. Keep them together till the clowns host the bubbletip. For me the bucket method worked a charm because of the limited space. Once hosted place them back into the main tank.

Good luck and I hope you come right.

Thanks EFJ for the response, tried something a little different, put a small peg baskit over the BTA and then struggled for 30mins to catch one of the clowns. It took about 10 mins and he seems to be enjoying his new home.
Will keep them both in the baskit for few days. Just hope he follows the BTA around till it finds a place in my tank to settle.

Thanks guys, the only problem is the anemone is all over the place in that small basket, a little scared to let it free in tge tank.

theres no guarantees that this plan will work in the long run.....my clowns hosted a anenome for over a year. then i added some euphelias....hammers, frogspawn and torches. the clowns now jump between the anenome, and the euphelias and it looks like they prefer the torch these days.

clowns are so stupid...at the times they host in different corals....not even hosting together in same coral.....lol

Turned.the basket over to get them both out but the BTA is stuck in there and now both clown are hosting in it. Now only time will tell if them stick to it when it starts to move around.

Thanks man. His already eating frozen brine shrimp.
Any Ideas of what other frozen food will be good and nutritional to try to keep it healthy.

Mysis are about the most nutritional you can get, but if he's eating frozen brine then hopefully he'll also eat any other type of frozen food as well, so offer him a variety. I believe they feed on sponges in the wild so if you could find a food that contains sponges would be a big help, I'm pretty sure I can recall something being said about a new'ish food that came out containing sponges, but I can't remember the name of it.

Thanks for the feedback guys appreciate it. Loving this fish, Always wanted one since I started this hobby just never found one thats eating till now, it looking absolutely awesome.

Don't stress, leave it for a while. The more you mess with it the longer it will take to settle. Mine also started off like this, hasn't moved for 7 or 8 months now. I don't feed mine for a month at times.

This is it today. Was tiny when I got it.
