i gave it a spit polish:lol: took quite a bit of elbow grease but i scrubbed every inch of it i kinda cant wait for the corraline to grow back in it though....:p

ok alot has happened since i last posted.... i have introduced a yellow tang and 2 royal gramma... unfortunatley my one gramma has gone awol as they sometime do so im waiting to see what happens..

the next on my list is a clean up crew and some shrimps....

i have had a small algae bloom but the tang has been controlling it nicely and i have been adjusting light levels to curb its growth....

looking for more sps though and just waiting for mullet and squiddy to get their tanks up so that i can get rid of some of my LPS corals....

the fish had some whitespot but i fed them frozen brineshrimp soaked in red sea vita... all is well at the moment.....

will post pics soon, my son is keeping me very busy these days....

Thats looking good, nice job.Have you conciderd boxing your skimmer in with the same wood as the rest of the tank.

i have actually! the plan is to build a cabinet to house the skimmer but have a door that will house my cd and dvd collection, and then on the other side a computer table with an overhead cabinet... all in all it will look like a big wall unit whan im finished equopped with downlighters....

just focussing on the necessary at the moment though.. thanks for the suggestion:yeahdude:
 
forgot to say that i already have corraline growing on my dead base rock and my glass.... the LR that i added is looking very purple and bright!

im happy because this system was done with minimal LR....
 
Looks great leslie, where did you get the flat pieces of rock from? Dying to get some flat pieces like that.
