They need to be closer to the surface I believe.
I have them running horizontal on both sides of the tank. About 12-15cm under waterline and running at 40% pulse of 1 second
I’m also at this stage, either sand gets blown all over the place, or I get algae. Hard to find a balance.

I tried that with not alot of success. Lps gets to much flow with vertical
The top of mine are like 3 inch below the surface on each end set on anti-sync pulse if that's of any help.

Did some more tests tonight
Salinity 1.026
NO3 2-4 ppm (tested twice as i was shocked. Last test was 50ppm)
PO4 0.02 ppm
Ca 410 ppm
KH 2.8/7.8 (best way to supplement this?)(looks like the local NSW is low in KH)(also i dont like the KH test of red sea. Not the easiest to determine the colour change. What test kit will be better for this?)
Mg 1320 ppm
Any advice is welcome

I either tested the NO3 last time like my ass or my filtration kicked in big time. Bio cubes are dissappear quite quick which is what one wants but im really happy to see my filtration is working.
Yes, I also use NSW, and that KH is on 5. I raise it with Red Sea Foundation.

To be honest i havent tested ph. After talking to a few people seems like 7.8 dkh will be just fine so not going to fiddle with it
Yip...7.8 is fine ( i run mine closer to 6.5).

I could never get mine to stay any higher than 8, also went down to 6.5 at times.

So a while back the tank shocked a bit. Found it was due to an old hailea pump. I replaced that and everything went smooth sailing. I installed a titanium probe connected to a ground as well. Yesterday i put my glass i prepare the fish food in, into the tank and got such a shock i dropped it and a thousand pieces of glass went everywhere. Switched off the mains and it still shocked. Dont know whats happening but electrician is here first thing tomorrow morning.
LOL, would have luv to see it, at-least it was not a glass filled up with a good whisky
If this is done correctly, the tank would not be able to shock you. The breaker should have tripped long ago. Are you sure the point its plugged into is actually grounded?
Do you have a multimeter? I yes, then put it on DC. Take the probe out the water and connect that to multimeter. Other wire from multimeter, connect that to a metal strand. Drop that strand into the water. That should give you a reading. Basically you connect the multimeter in series between tank and the plugged in ground probe.

Another thing that can affect the functioning of ground probes, is for example, if you have the probe in the sump and you get shocked in the display tank it is because there is a break/gap in the flow of water in the pipes from the tank to the sump, this will cause a break in the circuit and you may need two probes, one for the sump and one for the tank.
yip, as long as the return pump is running, then one probe in the sump will work.
If you test and get no readings, and nothing shock you anymore, then take out your heaters and check them. I had one that only gave away current whilst it was on.
