England's Below Average Rugby Team

Well what can I say
It was a damn good game anyway!!!
And the cricket... what happened there?
Beating England twice in 1 weekend ?!? hahahaha
I think we gonna take both world cups.... but thats just my biased opinion!
Don't worry wee-man, you weren't the only 1 that couldn't walk on fri night;)

Yeah, by the end of Friday night I reminded myself of a hemit crab walking on coarse aragonite. At least that's what the other people probably thought about me....haha.

England losing in the Cricket - no surprise there, i got used to that ages ago:whistling:

It was quite a night but saturday got even better - i played Greenwich first team in the Kent league we beat them 27 - 12 (sadly one of their number dislocated his knee rather horribly) but some of the boys went out to celebrate - this culminated in our flanker standing outside the rugby club singing "blue suade shoes" whilst stark naked wearing only some rather oversized Elvis sunglasses:lol:  he turned up a bit late on Sunday morning when we were training the junior teams and only just managed to avoid chucking his breakfast over some of the 10 year olds:)

Well, we made the quarter finals, now we only have to beat Australia (first) then New Zealand:scared: then we meet you guys in the final:thumbup:

And how easy is your route to the final, Fiji, then Argentina or Scotland - you must be quaking in your boots:whistling:

If you don't bring home the silverware this year.......Good luck SA i couldn't stand it if the Aussies or the All Blacks won.

And believe me you will have more than one England supporter with you;)

Well done Wee-Man, although i doubt you will read this anytime soon, one step closer to the final. I must admit England showed real heart today and were certainly a different team compared to when they played SA.

Excellent result England !!!!!!! - Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing the Ausies go home early.. :D

Alan,
I did have a few last night, just to celebrate, England's euphoric rise to brilliance yesterday, i then drank some more to the aid of the French (we help them out fairly often - usually when Germany invade);)

Beating the Aussies is my favourite pastime:thumbup: they accept defeat so well, i will never forget the look on the Aussie pm's face when he had to congratulate England and hand over the world cup to us never seen anyone so sick in my life:)

I’m so stoked with that result…now if they can just do the same in the semi’s, the cup will be ours:slayer:

We're back. we're bad, when we trash you in the final you will know the cup is still rightfully ours, we invented it, we showed the world how to play it, now it's lesson time kids. cos England (the mighty England) are back on top:1:

Bye Bye Aus, Bye Bye New Zealand.... hheeheheeheheh

One step closer for SA.
Although I'm going to have to shout for Scotland later tonight.. How can you not love their Folk song, Flower of Scotland.

It's not a folk song, it's about the youth of Scotland killed in battle;)

I thought Fiji did really well against the mighty SA, you did a great job today, but the little'uns made you work for it, glad you got through ok though:thumbup:

you just gotta laugh dont you:thumbup:

there is just a slight chance that i might just be a little bit drunk from last night:blushing:

I kind of remember a few lucid moments but not that many:whistling:

lol, yeah pity it's work tomorrow so can't go big.

Folk song, what I meant is that it's not their National Anthem. I remember SA playing against Scotland at Murray field about 8 years ago and Mark Andrews (Got Scottish blood in him anyway), standing their in his Bok jersey singing along to Flower of Scotland during the anthems. Classic !! Nothing like singing along to your oppositions Anthem (Folk song).

For those of you that are confused, Scotland the Brave is Scotlands official National Anthem.

Not the official anthem, cos that is "God save the Queen" the sweaty's just like to be different (or bloody awkward):whistling: :whistling:

And i will never forget watching Dewi Morris standing in the England line up singing the Welsh anthem:lol:  (yes we were about to play them)

lol, classic.

Oh well one more game to go to decide the last semi final place. I reckon England will put one over France in the semi's. France have the tendancy to go from Hero to Zero from one match to the next. England seem to have found their groove and are starting to look menacing..
I see an England - SA final... Should be good.

Martin Corry said in the paper that England won the game purely on fear - fear that they had so far played very badly and that they wanted to let the world know that they weren't actually that bad, i worry that they might have lost that edge and fall down to France.
Having said that, you are quite right France have long been the masters of their own destruction - lets hope so :)

Gees, I pissed off at Scotland. Argentina had a bad game, but Scotland still managed to lose. I would have loved S.A. playing Scotland in the semi final.

Scotland were bloody lucky to get past Italy, they were rotten yesterday:thumbup:

At least the Argies played with a bit of heart, your next game should be a really good one, i don't see SA haiving much problem getting to the final though (in fact my money went on SA to lift the cup some time ago)

Just wanted to report, my hang over is still pounding from Saturday night, we all went out again on Sunday to top up:1: :1: :1: - not a good idea.:blushing:

Don't worry you'll soon be drinking to drown your sorrows. I predict in the next 11 days.

Oooo hark at her:razz:

Actually, i'm just glad we beat the Aussies, they are boring when the win and whine too much when they lose, and as for David Campese..........:whistling:

England finally showed the rugby world that they can actually play rugby and have defended their 2003 win reasonably well, i give us a slight chance against France, but to be totally honest i don't think we can raise the bar enough to beat SA, who have so far played within themselves and got to the quarters in a steady workman like fashion (much like England did in 2003) nothing fancy just doing enough to get through.
All that having been said, if we do get to the final, i will, of course, be screaming my tits off in support of England, whatever happens though, two things are for sure,
1. I have really onjoyed this RWC.
2. I will be absolutely trollied after the game:1:
