Ecotech radion xr15w pro in rsm250

Hi, I currently have 2 ecotech radion xr15w pro lights and was thinking of fitting them into the hood of my RSM250. Would this provide adequate coverage and par levels for an sps dominated reef or should I just stick to the stock T5 lighting

It might, but you might get a bit of a spotlight effect if they are in the hood, if you can lift them a bit with a goose neck it will be more than adequate for most corals.

Thanks, The problem is, I’m not keen on removing the hood cause it exposes the skimmer and stuff at the back, so I wanna keep the look original

I had an XR15w in the hood of an RSM130, it worked ok, maybe see if you can get the diffusers for the light from Aquarium Depot, it will reduce the spotlight effect.
