So I set up my QT tank in preparation for my cube setup.

This tank will just run the basics:
-filter floss
-bioballs
-heater
-return

Then it also has an RW 4 wavemaker and a hydra 26 LED.

Reason I am running the hydra 26 is because I plan on using this as a coral Qt later on as well. With this in mind, I can use the hydra 26 to acclimate corals to the light of the final display tank and/or use it later as a frag tank

Here are some pics

Here are a few pics of the reconstruction and fixing up of the tank

Had to build a completely new stand.

Damn, that is one high end quarantine tank. :thumbup1:
Yea it's definitely overkill, but because it is in our house dining room it has to be a "display tank" even if it's only for QT purposes.

A lot of the stuff is actually for coral later on, as I plan to QT and acclimate my corals in here too

Haha, I know the feeling, my coral qt is also in our dining room, trying to figure out how to also make it look good.

Well I got it up and running today!!

Added my rock for the main DT in it as it was busy cycling in a bucket in the hall with a power head up until now. Though t I may as well cycle it with the bioballs and kill 2 birds with one stone.

Added water and salt (my RODI seemed to take forever today....) and then added the rocks on some eggcrate. Once running for a bit to mix and adjusting final salinity I added AF Bio S, 2 drops!! Clearly it must be some concentrated stuff coz it recommends 1 drop per 100 litre so technically I double over dosed:m15:

Anyways it's all running good now so will add another drop daily as per instructions for the next two weeks. Then hopefully can get the rock moved over to main display and start QT some fish!!

Was playing around with the lights and here it is with just the UV channel. Love how the return lights up.

Anyways light will now go off for two weeks obviously...

Tank is too nice to be a quarantine tank...

So I added a 120mm fan on the back of the tank today to keep the stand dry from humidity. It's working great and keeping it dry as a bone.

Was bored and made a quick frag rack for the QT

It's almost not even noticeable once in the tank

Thanks man!

Yea I'm not taking anymore risks hey

So I've started QTing some frags and one invert

Got a piece of green Monti, some mushrooms that are not soo happy after the fragging ordeal, some zoas and gsp

They all a bit unhappy as the temperature has been very low and I've now finally gotten it up by adding another heater.
I'm expecting them to be well improved by the weekend
