Craig's ultimate nano

I built the distribution box myself. It's just a basic component box, with a couple switches, neons and fuse holders from a local supplier. That and a whole lot of wiring :) Sorry, I haven't really kept track of how much I spent on it, but the box was not a lot and the switches etc were really cheap. I doubt I spent more than for 2 multi-plugs.

Awesome Craig. Meticulous attention to detail - I love it :D

A great looking DB, you got me thinking now.

Impressive Craig, very Impressive.

That plumbing job is great, I doubt I would have your patience to do such a nice job in such a confined area.

Sorry for the poor picture quality....

The rockscape still needs a bit of adjustment, although in the pics it looks a *lot* lower than it really is.

Hi Craig
Nice tank. I'm hoping you can give us some more info on the OM Squirt. I belive this modle comes unwired? is the thread standard.

What is your opinion on its overall performance.

appreciate it

Very nice Craig

Ok now give us the hindsight down and dirty :D

Fantastic set up Craig. Please post an updated pic of the sump with the rest of the equipment in place.
Can really see this one turning into a gem.

wicked little system. sweet dude. this is why i love cubes. wish mine get up and running, mumble...

The general kinda idea with this tank seems pretty similar to mine. Seems it was planned a whole lot better though! My overflow kinda sucks (literally sometimes). I also have 2 seios (would get nanostreams but too late for that now). My returns go in from the side with the seios/overflow on instead of over the glass. This probably looks a little nicer but in retrospect it's annoying having the water level drop if the power goes out. I have a valve on the return pipe to control the rate and to close it fully when I turn off the pump. I have the fittings going through the side for a closed loop but never got to installing one. Would be rather difficult with everything that's in the cabinet now! My water level is just a tad higher (varies between 1cm and 5mm from the top). Otherwise the biggest difference probably is that mine has to sit in the corner so at the moment it's only viewable from 2 sides...

O, ok, would have thought that "wireless" would be a better word. As unwired implies that it once was wired but then unwired.

lol "wireless" would imply that is works via bluetooth or wifi :) .

thanks craig, ive been trying to get onto his site since two weeks ago but it aint working. will keep trying.

Ryan - yes, the unit is "unwired", this means that it comes with a really short power cord (~ 20cm) and no plug. The thread is standard imperial.

Not really. I've been fighting algae prior to adding anything further in the way of corals. Things seem to have stabilised a bit, although I am still looking for a small herbivorous fish and algae blennies are nowhere to be found at the moment :(
