Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement skimmer for the 400s? Im in the Durban area and there doesn’t seem to be any local agents willing to stock the older spares.
If no 1800s are available has anyone got any advice for an alternative that can cope with the low water levels in the factory fitted sump? My old Bubble Magus is not coping.
Thanks

I fitted a bubble magus complete needle wheel impeller in the PSK pump
i made the mistake of getting rid of the c-skim before confirming the curve could do the job. Now I have the BM Curve which skims but due to the low water level in the sump the skimming doesn’t make it to the collection cup.

MAYBE i might have one here, i'll have a scratch around tomorrow. ( i think it's the same one that came with the max 650 that your looking for?)

No show here but figured out its by Marco (waterboy), so talk to him, its been sitting outside by him for a few years so maybe its ok maybe it ain't but your welcome to it.

I don't know the 400 sump but you can run a 650 sump with enough water that is fine for a BM skimmer.
On the 650 i run a D9.
D8 fitted under where the original skimmer sat with no modding, D9 fits in there with 1 shelf mount cut out.
Running 240mm sump water depth here & that seems to keep the BM skimmers happy.
