does he take flake? otherwise he will go a bit hungry with the large gravel you have. good shot though :)
 
he does take flake and everything else. There is finer aragonite in the tank though
 
I also have a blue cheek goby. But having a bit of issues.

He dives down, picks up sand, goes up, sifts it, dropping it all over my Live rock, mostly the lower half of the tank. Now it's not too much of a problem to me, but I'd like to know, if he drops sand like this on corals (don't have yet but going to get some soon) will it be detrimental to them?
 
Gobies ... so much fun to watch, but so much of a mess :p ..

Since I have had myne, my water has been full of particales the whole time - its a busy pair i have..

Is their a way to see if they are male/female ?

Yes, the female will TELL the male where to go and sieve - so it will be the one furthest away working the hardest :lol:
 
On a serious note - Male sleeper gobies are easily identified by their elongated second dorsal spine ;)
