we just finished a new batch of 500g - Maxi Calcium Flakes
500g tubs are R 70;)
also Waterboy Maxi-Carbon just landed in again 5 tons of it.......
we got em in 3kg buckets for R170:thumbup:....considering the massive imports increases lately and the unmatched quality of this carbon........:yeahdude:thats a super deal

Excuse the ignorance but what are the benefits of Maxi calcium flakes , besides the obvious of increasing calcium - are they more soluble than calc / slaked lime -
Also do they have any direct effect on ph & Kh?

the flakes dissolve at an optimum rate and release calcium, calcium chloride not hydroxide .......
no extreme swings in ph,
if you use it in small to medium aquariums it can be used as is.....
if you have very high calcium needs, ie, very stocked coral tank or large aquarium, you would obviously use more however then its reccommended its used in conjunction with a kh buffer such as reefbuilder
