What powerheads for a buyo TL550

Good morning everyone,

power head question, i have a TL500 (buyo), with a powerhead in. I don't know the name, but it is very strong. On top of it, it says it blasts 1800L/H. My fishies look like they are in a tornado almost.

I don't have it on currently.

I had a look at the seio 530, but they are also 2000 L/h, and the 320 are 1200 L/h.

If I buy one 320 (seio), will that be enough for extra flow ?

I bought a Seio 1100lph and it's fine in my nano whihc hold 100 litres
 
It a seio prop before I forget
 
i had 2 x tunze nanostreams (2500L/h each) so total of 5000L/h flow in my tl550
 
ZeroCool, the one you have in your tank is a pump which has a concentrated flow. As I have said before I have a SEIO prop 530 and 2 SEIO prop 320 in my boyu and I think there isn't enough flow. You need to remember that the SEIO's and SunSun pumps have a more dispersed flow, so they wont seem as strong as a concentrated linear flow...

Nice pumps, I have 2 of those in my tank along with a 320. Just remember the amount of flow in your tank you want is in conjunction to what corals you want to keep as well. For an LPS tank you wouldnt want that much flow while in an SPS tank you would want a lot. I am sure you aren't thinking that far ahead yet, but its good to keep in mind. :)

Hi there Kundardt. Thanks for the quick reply. Jip, very nice pumps !

I can't really keep LPS because of spacing in my tank, if you don't know, i have a nano (buyo TL550). I have alot of softies in, and to answer your question, I think very far ahead.

After doing the lighting mod the weekend also, I can now really see how things are more happy. Just 2 days and alot more growth

Just and to let you know there is no reason you can't keep LPS in a nano ;)
