First setup

Half of the rock from shut down system and the other from FS (250km from home). Read online itll help and was confirmed by local petstore only to hear from the veterans its a bold move, ive only got about 20ml of NoPoX left then im going to start with the VSV you gave me so much grieve about ;)
 
OK, on next water change. Put the old water in a bucket. Take out the rock and rinse it in the old water. Lift out and let it drain out a couple of times. See how much rubbish you can flush out.
 
I made a tiny gravel vac out of that airline tubes and a 20ml syringe and got almost all of the dead algae. I then ran the water trough some sponges and filter and put that water back in aquarium till i got i got about 90% of the dead stuff. I will do a waterchange tomorrow morning and then test again in the afternoon. I suppose its all part of the learning experience coz you guys know nothing according to the noobs.
