Has anybody got any experience with using these?

Have had 2 of those in my sump for over 6 month's,would'nt buy them again,but i find the same with matrix & denitrate products as well so maybe my flow is not slow enough or being after the skimmer there is too much oxygen present for that sort of media to work properly for me

Thanks 2una, was wondering if the claims that it removes nitrates is true?

Yes they should work......outside area populated with bacteria consume the oxygenated water leaving the inner area without o2 where the denitrifiying bacteria get to work...thats kinda the theory anyway
