I just set up my first tank with 2 clown fish and 2 Hermits this Wednesday

Got this macro algae from the same shop and added it to my tank.

Was fine for the last 2 days and I just noticed it had suddenly turned see through/ white

Not mushy still firm.

Just worried about it dying and crashing my tank.

Is it just stressed out from the move to a new tank or is it dying and need to be removed ASAP

Always test your water parameters when you notice something not doing well in your tank.
In this case I would check Salinity, Alkalinity, PH, Nitrate and Phosphate levels.
Macro algae can do this when nutrients (Nitrate and Phosphate) are very low in the water.
If these parameters are within normal acceptable ranges you can consider dosing a macro algae booster such as Chaeto Grow (usually contains Iron).

I did test for Salinity ,Ph , Nitrate , Nitrite. All seemed to be normal.

Don't have a Phosphate and Alkalinity tests at the moment since I don't have Corals.

Just worried that the algae is spawning which I read online can crash the tank. I somehow cannot find a picture of what it looks like when its spawning versus just stressed out

How long has tank been cycling? What type of bacteria did you add to start cycle ? Seachem Stability? Microbe Lift Special Blend? What lighting?

I think it is just stressed and will adjust to lighting and parameters.

I don't think the algae is much of a bio load to crash the tank.

I would dose with Seachem stability it other bacteria kick starters to build up the diversity

Have you already gone through the algae and diatom bloom in the tank?

It's been cycling for about 1 month with live rock

Funny enough - they seem to turn transparent in the evening and back to a vibrant green during the day. All levels normal

Literally never read anything on this online. So strange.
