Hi all.
When I got home this evening I saw that my large anemone split in two. Is this a sign that it is not happy or normal? Will the two "pieces" be able to stay in the same tank together?

Hey man congrats. Some say its stress and others say its a sign of good water parameters. Im also saying its a sign of a good tank. Mother nature will try and avoid reproduction as long as possible if conditons are bad. For example Quite a few animals will carry their young longer if its very dry etc. Like i said congrats and they will be just fine in the same tank.

I also think a split shows good conditions in tank as well as a happy nennie, both will be fine in the tank, same type nennie no issues diff type then they might fight:) good luck!

As they are genetically still the same organism, they will be able to co-exist in the same tank. Even be up against each other. But I found them to move apart at times so they are not touching. As your tank is rather full just watch out where they are moving to.

Tnx Riaan. Will keep an eye on them, if two becomes to much I will have to let go of one. (Hopefully I can start a bigger tank this year ;-)

I got 3 in a TL550. OK, they are about the only corals that is in that tank.
