Hey guys,

I was just wondering what my livestock limit is (fish and invert wise) and was wondering if you guys can help me.

Tank Size : 1210X450X600

I have quite an open scaping - One large island and one low island

+/- 20KG's LR (Kenyan, Fiji, Bio)

12cm DSB
TS1 Skimmer with performance mods
Phosban reactor

and a Refugium (Gravity Feeds to DT) with Chaeto and +/- 5 KG's LR (Bio)

Current Stock is:

Sailfin Tang (6-7cm)
5 x Blue/Green Chromis
Jumping Bean angel
Lawnmower blenny
Cleaner shrimp

Snails and hermits.

Any ideas?

Thanks gents

Man i would say u fully stocked but then again i dont like a really stocked tank myself would rather have an understocked tank then a fully stocked tank

Guys, the fish list is what i already have ;)

I would like to add just one more fish: a mandarin - I am waiting for my LFS to get in stock...

Good luck with it mate. A good idea that i saw when keeping a mandarin is to have a fuge flowing into the DT. in that way lots of pods get into the tank for it to feed

Always wanted a Mandarin, but you must have lots of pods to keep it alive.
Don't know what the limit is, i always listen to what my system has to say.
I have seen tanks stocked to the brim with huge success and under stocked systems crash. Think its all in the filtering and what your system can handle.
Maybe some pics will help us get an idea.

what else do the mandarin feed on besides pods?

Maj, unfortunately they only feed on pods, thus difficult to keep as you need a established tank with lots of LR for it to feed from , or as Ziaad said a fuge. Not a beginners fish in my opinion

thnks FransSny,just that i saw how nice these mandarin look and was tempted to get one.
