Im pretty new to marine fish, and have been doing lots or research into starting a marine tank. Ive read most of the 'beginners guides', and feel quite confident in starting off.
Im thinking of a tank size -> 0.9m x 0.5m x 0.5m (based on available space)
I live in Durban - if anyone knows of a good 'tank' builder and where I could get good Live rock, please let me know.
Im hoping to get started very soon

You'd think that there were quite a few tank builders here in Durbs - either they're hiding or I simply am not good in finding any. If any1 knows of a few, pls msg me

Welcome to MASA :)

And the long journey begins. Unable to have a custom tank made, Ive purchased a standard Juwel Rio 180 tank and cabinet. Juwel skimmer 3.0 -> rated for 500l tank has been installed.
As time progresses, I will be adding a powerhead and changing the lights.

Tank has salt water and aragonite at present. I will wait for the the cloudiness to clear up before getting some Live Rock

The protein Skimmer is located within the tank. As soon as the water clears up, i will post another pic

looking awesome dude/// now i see some algae on those rocks ,get an id before they spread tho... thats unfortunately not the colour you want to achieve in marine setup

the pinkish purple is corraline,now thats a good colour but it eats calcium to stay so nice and pink, so when the start spreading ,keep an eye on ur cal levels

ive seen those juwel skimmers.lovely looking and quite pricey, let us know how it works,maybe a few pics aswell,good job so far:thumbup:
