Here is my little reef set-up in progress...I bought the Jebo338 last week here on MASA in the for sale section and after I took ownership thought by myself..” WOW” how small is this...But that thought changed as soon as I added the water in and saw the actual potential...I can’t find much on the net or here on the forum re this tank and re-examples of how different systems was setup...so I will do this one on intuition...
The filter system compartment is very small and not much space for media material...First I wanted to start the system from scratch so to experience the whole cycle process and everything as I have actually forgotten all the excitement one goes threw in the first few weeks and the waiting to add stock..
Well that planning only lasted a day or two...I did a small water change on my existing tank and added some of my filter media to the Jebo’s filter and the water I got from the existing tank...a few small pc l/r and a coral or two to seed the new gravel and new filter media...now I need to get a few kilos matured l/r (5-7)..And leave the tank be for a while to settle...
Stocking the tank is going to be exciting as I plan sea horse and lots of different sea plants for the tank..Hopefully captive bred knysna horses..

I added a 150w heater and there is 2x white t5 8w jebo globe's i repaced yesterday and a extra 10w t8 blue moon that came with the tank whitch I will still change to a t5 or a actnic ...once i find the wright globe whitch ever come first...or maybe change to led's all together..

Hi Jacoc
Do you have a skimmer in-place? if not I guess you got to wait for bacteria to start building up in your filtration, should be around 3-4weeks...

That is 35L
Real Nano tank.

How far is this tank standing away from your main tank?

you think i should run piping from there and use the main to drive the jebo?
yes... Then no heater or skimmer or filtration issues...

Only lights and small powerhead.

or salinity, auto top up worries or parameter issues...

will take some major plumbing ....have to go in to roof and back or around outside of house...my wife will kill if i go cross the floor...to the kitchen area..

its a pity you cannot wireless connect them.

Well, move one of them. When your wife is not there. See if she notice.

its a pity you cannot wireless connect them.

will try bluetooth...will have to run seperate for now ...maybe in the new pace i can do piping before the floors go in...the jebo sits on the counter where every one sits around when bussy in the kichen and meal times...

Leka tank that.

Look at Trev's (Two oceans aquatics)shop tank.
Just a word of caustion in joining the two tanks.I would drill the little small tank and let it "over flow" into the large tank and then pump water back into the little tank.Reason being that in the case off a pump failure and or power out you wont end up with a flooded floor. Im sure the big tank can handle an extra 35l better than the little jebo handling an extra 300l.

Just my 2c

Is it possible to get a tank W/S free by having no fish in it for a while? Is shrimps and snails not hosts as well?

PS Like the looks.

Tons of debate on this but most people estimate that w/s can survive months without a host.

A UV sterilizer however does prove very effective against ick and w/s.
