Hi Guys

I know a lot of people here are into there photography so I thought I would take a chance to see if anyone is into there video editing as well.
I finally upgraded my trusty Gopro to the new Hero 3 and I think it is time to upgrade my video editing software.
Please could you guys let me know what software you using and some of the cool features the software has.

Thanks

Nobody??
You guys all need to invest in a Gopro, can you imagine the videos you can take of your tank not from the outside but from INSIDE the tank, up close and personal.

I so badly want of those just cant justify the expense for only taking photos inside my tank

Might need to take up offroad downhill wheel chair racing then I could atleast justify it

Might rent yours for photos

I do downhill mountain biking but the wheelchair version sounds fun :)
Yeah welcome to use it if you want for a video camera the photos are actually really good

If I had a mac I wouldn't have started this thread :) so nope a PC

tisk tisk... :) Mac is the way! Simple powerful software! Plenty apps on the App Store for this too.
You could use Adobe After Effects which works on both platforms, but depends on what exactly you want to do with your videos?

Look at sony vegas bro. I've made some epic videos from GoPro footage using it, there's a bit of a learning curve but not too bad!
I am currently using Sony Movie Studio so I know the Sony software well and Sony Vegas Suite was my first choice but just thought I would see what else is out there
Mainly I want to add text, music, sound clips, merge clips, cut clips add photos and time lapses into a video lapse, edit colour, composition, etc. all that sort of stuff.

After effects is more for motion graphics and very basic editing. Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro is probably the best on the market at the moment. Its expensive software though, and I'm pretty sure you can pick up simpler affordable software floating around the net somewhere. Unfortunately I only work on Mac and can't really give too much info on the PC side!

Well the price I got for the Vegas Suite was about R7000 so that's why I thought if I am going to spend that money it must be on the best software I can get for that price, so that's the reason I am looking around for what's out there.

I think your best bet is to speak to a few people who use PC editing software and get some sort of idea how they feel. I'm no pro at video, more on the photography and design side. I use the Adobe suite and swear by it. A few mac apps also work great and you can get them for free from the app store. But if you got no mac, its no help! Sorry bud!
