Hey guys, well my 100L is almost done and I can taste the salt water! now the idea behind this nano is to have a dwarf angel as its show piece sooooooo I can't decide on which one to get

My ideas are
Flame angel
Keyhole angel
Blue eyed lemon peel
Rock beauty

I will have some softies and maybe some sticks, other potential inhabitants will be two black clowns, sixline wrasse, shrimps(?) Prob a goby wanted some anithias but the tank will be to small and two baggai cardinals

Hmm...none of the above? :p I love my flame angel, but if it was to be the show piece in my tank I would go with something else...Potters have always been a fav of mine, golden Pygmy is also awesome and not as common.

From your list however I would go with the Lemon Peel, no other fish is going to give u the shock of yellow as a yellow tang would in a larger setup.

Rock beauty is not a dwarf angel btw. ;)

Given a choice id also go with a Golden dwarf Angel, have a look at Bob the reef builders thread for one in a tank, im sure his is photographed in there.

a Lemon peel is also a good choice but is a slightly higher risk of nipping corals than a flame IMO.

Thank you crispin will have a look for the thread, and I will have a look at the golden dwarf, I have been getting some contradicting info about the size and intent for the tank, some LFS(sponsor) said I'd have enough space and another said I do not for a dwarf angel, any comments on this?

well personally i think you are on absolute borderline for a dwarf angel and i wouldnt go for it myself, but your intended stocking is quite low and peaceful and as a centre peace fish, a dawrf angel is a good choice in that size tank. But that does mean you cannot over stock.

what alternatives could i look at besides a dwarf angel? a dwarf lion prehaps? i would love something super colorful with character, must be compatable with clowns though because my son would never forgive me if i didnt get him some nemos

Blue eyed lemon peel would work well with the other fish's colour. Flame is almost to colourfull. Just watch for coral nipping!

Between the 2 I would go for the lemon peel, nipping might be a problem though.

Have u seen the cherub angel?
