Some guys requested that I make a tank thread, so here goes. Too lazy to list my tanks individually, so just putting them together here. I've got a 1100 liter bow-front reef tank and a 600 liter fish only tank (and several small quarantine/holding tanks). Both tanks are in a bit of a state of flux at the moment due to new fish coming in.

Reef tank

2.3m x 0.7m x 0.7m
DIY Cree LED lighting
TS4 skimmer
Sump DSB + refugium

Currently running two 24 diode DIY Cree LED units, need to make a third when I get time. Contains various LPS and softies and a few montis and things. Actually slightly bored with corals at the moment because it's fish catching season, so they've been a bit neglected.

Fish list:

Dusky wrasse - Halichoeres marginatus
Jumping bean - Centropyge acanthops (x2)
Cleaner wrasse - Labroides dimidiatus
Mystery dartfish - Parioglossus sp. (x4)
Queen coris - Coris formosa
Choc dip - Chromis dimidiata
Swallowtail hawkfish - Cyprinocirrhites polyactis
Lieutenant surgeon - Acanthurus tennenti
Bluespotted tamarin - Anampses caeruleopunctatus
Pinktail trigger - Melichthys vidua (not locally caught)
Yellowtail damsel - Chrysiptera parasema (not locally caught)
Comet - Calloplesiops altivelis (not locally caught)

FO/Macroalgae tank

1.6m x 0.6m x 0.6m
4x T5 lighting (upgrading to LED shortly)
TS4 skimmer
Sump DSB

This tank currently just has macroalgae and a coral banded shrimp because I'm letting it run fishless to make sure it's whitespot-free. Growing various macroalgae species (always looking for more!) and Halophila stipulacea seagrass. Very keen to get some Sargassum and Padina algae growing, but will need the lighting upgrade before I get those.

The fish are currently all in quarantine in hyposalinity (0.009). Managed to get all of them onto flake already. Will be focusing on local butterflies (currently have 8 species). Most are about the same size and are getting along well together in quarantine. I find that as long as you don't mix similar species like C. auriga and C. vagabundus they usually tolerate each other quite well.

Chaetodon auriga
Chaetodon madagascariensis
Chaetodon kleinii
Chaetodon xanthocephalus
Chaetodon blackburnii
Chaetodon lunula
Chaetodon guttatissimus
Heniochus acuminatus

Still deciding where to put various other fish I've caught this season, but at least some of the following will also go in this tank:

Spotfin lionfish - Pterois antennata
Ember parrotfish - Scarus rubroviolaceus
Spotted toby - Canthigaster solandri
Dutoiti - Pseudochromis dutoiti
Semi - Pomacanthus semicirculatus
Goldie - Pseudanthias squamipinnis

WOW!! How long has the reef tank been running?

As a reef...umm....about 6 months. Was my FO tank before this. May go back to being one once my butterflies and angels grow up a bit. I prefer fish to corals most of the time.

Awesome man! Can I name the dark middle part of your tank "the danger zone" ?? Then when you look at it that song from top gun will be in your head :tt2:

Just looking how the much queen coris has grown since I caught it about 6 weeks ago. Compare the catch bucket pic to the one a few posts above. It's almost doubled in size in that time:

love the coris.
do you have pics of the mystery Parioglossus?

I was starting to wonder if this Blackadder dude was Matlock posing as a Durbanite:)
