Chika's New Playground for King Neptune

Hey there all .... Just thought I'll start a new thread with a list of what I've got planned and a few idea's and some of the equipment so far for this new project ......

Tanks
1 x 6 foot display tank (1.8M x 0.6M x 0.6M)
1 x 8 foot display tank (2.5M x 0.6M x 0.5M)
1 x "Main Sump" (1.4M x 0.5M x 0.5M)
Still have 3 or 4 standard 3 foots and 3 x custom 5 foots to plumb inbetween .... hospital / fuge / quarantine / frag ..... will see what can fit and what they will become

Skimmers
1 x OCTX 250 internal
1 x TS2 Reef Octo
1 x DIY with 2 x king 2 pumps

Heaters
4 x 300Watt heaters
4 x 250Watt heaters

Internal flow pumps
4 x 15000Ltrs/hr Resun wavers
1 x M2600 Seio
6 x M1100 Seio
6 x M1500 Seio

Lights
10 x T8 blue 5 foots
10 x T5 54W
3 x 150 MH
5 x 70 MH

Return Pumps
1 x 3000 L/H Via Aqua
1 x 2000 L/H Via Aqua

Other gadgets
Aquamedic Sulphur Reactor and Hydrocarbonate reactor
Phosban Reactor
Algae Turf Scrubber


Will be adding and subtracting from the list over the next few days so watch this space ........

Was thinking the 8 foot for coral reef and reef safe fishies and the 6 foot for non reef fish or predator .... Eels, Lionfish ...... Still planning ....

Thanks Frans .... Already running them on my existing setup so no real change in the bill ...... You can say I'm downsizing and upgrading at the same time ..... paying about R3000 a month already but will look into alternative methods as they come along ... a rand saved there is a rand I can spend on some gorgeous specimen elsewhere

Howzit there buddy .... We sometimes go down to -5 degrees here in winter so rather be prepared! I just sorting out a R/O unit with Marco ...... think I must get the reefmaster plus coz I'm topping up about 20 litres per day with the monster skimmer and the huge bio load .....

Thanx JB .... My wife always says I get bored easily coz I cant stay satisfied with 1 tank ... She's wondering when she is going to be upgraded .... Well 10 years going and not going to trade her in anytime soon .... so might as well step up with other stuff in my life.....

looks like the one on the left is carrying, try close up of the one on the left, very hard to check when they do pop cause they only let rip when the lights go off.

definatly carrying, will go a much darker green though as they get closer.

Heres a bit closer .... I their tank the only other inhabitants are a small glass shrimp and a keyhole angel ..... Any chances of me seeing some baby shrimpies scurrying around .... BTW he is getting greener .....

they get much greener, a very lime green, doubt you will see any babies Chika, best bet is to ask Marcel if you want to even try.
