A quick newbie question. My fowl120l tank has been maturing for 4months now:whistling::D and these white spots just started showing up for the last week. About 1x1mm in size. They are growing on al of my rocks. Is it good or bad? Any advice is much appreciated, tnx

Could be your magnesium is low but that would be lots of white spots all over

Here is a better PIC I googled
Nerita tessellata.jpg
:whistling::lol:

That is a Nerita snail
More specific, it is a Nerita textilis.

Would find them high up on the shore. They are the bigger Nerita and can grow to 30mm. Find them high up on the shore a lot of times outside the water at low tide. If yours are laying eggs its a good thing. I found that these do not do so good in a tank, although the few i tried over the years were a lot bigger than the one you pictured.

Just note that they cannot help themselves upright in your tank. In the ocean they just have to wait for the next big wave which we do not have in our tanks. So if you do see it upside down, help it immediately.

if its local it will be the textilla. Occurs from South Africa up all the way to the Red Sea.
Atlantic version is the tessellata. A lot smaller and sometimes with a lot less white.
