you need a far more efficient skimmer if you want to run NP Pellets. Look for something rated at around 1.3times min your system volume and with a needle/pin wheel impellar and a bubble plate. Besides the TS1 not being efficient enough, its also too small for your tank

Ok i bought a few months ago a hang on skimmer from big blue. I'm going to use it together with the ts1 skimmer. Will that be ok for now?

you can use the ts1 for the beginning but only use the bio pellets when you have a more efficient skimmer

Sorry to hear, what happened? Did it pop while you were at work?

If so, you should take it back to the place where you bought it. I still have those 4ft tanks for sale :whistling:

This is @$#%^@#$ my tank explode on the display window
......that's H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E...!!! Fully functional Tank...? with livestock and all...

Omg, that's horrible dude.. hard luck.

The silver lining - at least you hadn't spent thousands on corals and fish only to have it happen then.

All the best.

Breaking a tank is bad, but lucky for you, there is not a lot of livestock. But anyway, you should not have fish in the tank this early.

Just a question, I see you got the NP reactor outlet directly plumped into the skimmer intake? And you have a restriction ball valve on the NP-reactor inlet. As not to blow the pellets all the way to the top. Maybe this works on the TS1 skimmer, but surely if you upgrade the skimmer, then this will not work. You will restrict the water flow into the skimmer pump. Also not sure how it will affect the bubbles.

This happened 02H00 friday morning while we were sleeping. I thought somebody was breaking into the house but then i heard the water and i realised it's the tank. The water were running into all the rooms and my camera, lounge suite, electronic balasts and the oddessey T5 quad wasn't so lucky, it's a gonner. So The tank is fixed up again with extra bracing using 10mm glass. Will keep you posted.
