they will eat flaks but they must get live food aswell.

Scuba said his bi-colour hammered his LPS corals - I wanted it when he had it for sale, but for that reason I didn't get him. Pitty, they are so beautiful 
I believe out of the dwarf angels they are the most likely to nip at corals, but I know Les has one in his tank and I havent heard him complain about it. I guess its just the old adage of it depends on the individual.
Ok because my bi colour is nipping at my acro(SPS) and now n again on my trumpets damit man dunno what to do now....
He is eating alot of pods and my tank is full of pods they everywhere
could he maybe be nipping the corals because there is pods on them is this possible??

No angels are reef safe, some just eat less corals than others, i had a flame that was a good boy, but a mate had another centropyge that was a maniac and chomped all his lps.

Are u sure he is nipping the corals and not just inbetween them? Has he taken to flakes yet Grant? My Henni hasnt nipped my corals since he started eating flakes...your angel may do the same. How much algae u got in your tank they are algae grazers as well.

i have been lucky enough to house 6 dwarf angels together and not have them nip at corals but they all did in the begining untill they were weaned onto prepred foods. persevere with him he may come right but if he is destroying corals to the extent of death of the coral id think of removing. i did have alot of GSP which i nerver minded them eating (not that i ever saw them nipping at them) perhaps thats why they left my other corals alone.

but Keyaam is spot on really, some do some don't, it may just be the types of corals you have and whether the the dwarf angel has them on the menu.
Thanx mark yea i have algae hey all over for that purpose and i think like some guys said that once i get him on flakes or something else he will stop nipping at them...but i just cant get him to eat prepared foods...he is not interested he just chows off the rocks and glass...???
How long have u had him? Do u still have the clown? I think if he's by himself it will take longer for him to realise that the flakes are food, where as if a new fish sees other fish eating flakes I think they start to grasp the idea that the strange stuff floating in the water is for consumption

Its been over two weeks now and has not taken to any prepared foods so ya im alil worried although he is looking very healthy and getting fat......
hi there, yes my bicolour did hammer some LPS, but he didnt even look twice at them for a long time until i added another angel which ''taught'' him that LPS were tasty. If it hadnt learned i think it would still be safe. But i've had a couple of angels and if they are fed enough and are trained to take prepared foods you could survive with an angel. But at the moment, for the new tank, not taking any chances as i have had it go wrong...
