Hi.

My nano is about 1 month old. Packed up my bigger tank and decided to go for a nano.
I had my 150 w halides so I have decided to make 2 of the same nano's. One Reef and one planted tank.

For the reef tank I have decided to only keep my clowns.

I have had the anemone for about 6 months now and it is doing well. Anyone have a clue what type?

Here is the result.

Very nice looking tanks. :)

Nemmie looks like a Crispa of some sort.

WOW Max! A VERY WARM WELCOME to MASA man! Awesome to have you on-board! Where the heck have YOU and your TANK been hiding away? Geez! Great looking nano, man!
BTW: the nemmie looks like an LTA (Long tentacle anemone). Also known as a "sand anemone". It MIGHT also be a condylactis passiflora (Atlantic anemone)....

BTW: What's you location, mate?

Located in centurion. :)

Thanks for the welcome and comments

Welcome to MASA. I like the nanos especially the freshwater one. Harlequin rasboras, one of my favourite fish

welcome max :)

great to have you non MASA, that nono is a very neat set up, youve obvioulsy done this all before :)

how long has the nano been going, seems like it has some growing out to do. Also i wasnt sure what the bright white thing is lower right and i couldnt get a clear view of it, any ideas?

Thanks for the comments.

It has been going just over 1 month. Lower right is a yellow finger leather. Will take a individual pic later when the lights are on.

Cool Max - can you please share some more info with us, on the nano?
What filtration does it have? And what is your maintenance regime?

What are the exact dimensions of the nano tank, Max?

60 x 60 x 40 tank, but 10cm at the back used for equipment(back compartment). Thus the actual tank is only 50 x 60 x 40.

For flow I use 3 1000l/h pumps. The middle one constantly running and the other 2 on an intermittent switch, thus switching between the 2 sides.

I try to change 40 litres every 2 weeks.
I am still looking for one of the nano skimmers . Buyo wg-310 or 308 just for a bit of a safety net but so far it is doing well without it.

Cool Max! Many thanks. What about the hang-on ReefOctopus BH-100? I am QUITE sure that this skimmer would be an AMAZING asset for you?

Will it handle the level that is fluctuating in the back compartment?
What does it cost?

Thanks

Nice looking nano's!

Hiya Max - It has a pump that sits inside the tank - or inside the back compartment.... not sure if it will handle fluctuating water levels - as long as the pump stays underwater, it will be good....

I am NOT 100% sure about the costing of the skimmer - it might be around a R1000.... BUT, believe me - it's worth it! You won't be sorry.....
