Getting laid...

It's quite difficult to get nice pics of the egg laying and fertilising process as the clowns move quite quickly and erratically. Adding to that, the eggs are still really small at this stage, but here are the best photos I have to this point:

wow!! great shot of them laying in action, I came home once and my pair were in the process, whipped out the camera but pic's came nowhere near yours, havta invest in a decent macro me thinks... what camera and macro lens did you use?

Thanks guys. I use a Nikon D7000, with a 105mm f2.8 for the close up shots. For the others, I use a 35mm f1.8. I have a SB600 speedlight for which I've made a homemade beauty dish, to diffuse the light.

The pictures are nice because the clowns are very close to the glass and it's only 6mm thick. I can't take all of the credit:p.

My latest pair of false common clowns should be ready to spawn in the next three months.

Will rear a few of the larvae and am looking forward to the egg laying.

Great... welcome to the forum, and thanks very much. Keep us posted on the progress with the clowns. Please post some pics on this thread.
 
Brilliant picture. Give some infos please, what equipment did you use? No flash, I reckon.
You should post every day a pic like that about the latest development. It would be awesome.
 
@Mudshark I must say that I'm disappointed. After such brilliant pictures, no update with more pictures?
What happened?
