So ever since I started stocking my livestock I started experimenting when feeding. Each time before I fed I first shaked the food container in front of the tank within the fish's line of site. After a few times of doing this the fish started to "recognise" the container........and hen spotting it they will all congregate in front of the glass like eager little puppies.I even tried shaking other containers of differant size and shape and colour........and to my amazement they only seem to react to the certain container.
When feeding mysis the same thing occurs.........I always first scoop a little tank water to thaw the mysis in and then "inject" it with a syringe with a 5 cm surgical tubing attached to the front. The fish have noticed the "pattern" and when I scoop the water they start to congregate in the centre of the tank.......and when I insert the syringe they will all come to the mouth of the surgical pipe and grab the mysis as it comes out.
"Training" fish as it were..........lol
