Good evening everyone

I'm a newbie to this forums as you can see. I have sucessfully setup my 1st marine aquarium and has been running 6months now and all is 100%

I want to add some corals and as far as can understand zoas are a fairly easy coral to keep happy.

Is there anyone that can help me. I'm looking to get some frootloop zoas for my tank. I absolutely love the color. I'm willing to pay for a frag or two.

If anyone can help. Please let me know

Regards
CrazyTang

No one is allowed to help unless you post some pics!:1tongue:
You cannot drop something like this on us and not share the details???

Start uploading!

I see that you have a 4ft FOWLR. Care to share more details?

Its not a big setup, and I consider myself a spring chicken with marine aquiriums. I'm just hoping to slowly make some progress.

I don't have any picks on my computer, but will post picks as soon as I can.
I have a 3.5inch yellow tang and a 5 inch koran angel. They are my babies.

I try and go as slowly as possible, I don't want to rush things and the something goes wrong

What do you mean that no one is allowed to help me? Isn't it the idea behind this amazing forum?

Sorry, I derailed your zoa request thread...

Re-posted on your tank thread.

i think Gessiggie was pulling your leg a little and asking for some pics, sharing is caring and all that:)

zoas are great corals, relativley tollerant of water conditions that are not totally pistine and they can handle lower light and flow levels. Great for beginners.

but a koran angel may 2well love them too and eat them all up. but you can be lucky and find a fish that isnt a coral muncher, its often down to the angels personality. just try a few cheaper zoas before you add expensive corals to that tank ok.

Gesiggie

I dont think that you tried to derail my thread at all. I here to learn from the best just as alot of people

Sometimes i come across as a serious person. Guess its what i do gor a living and my Scuba CDC. I know at times im abrasive but thats just who i am

I hope that i didnt offend you

The reason why im looking at frootloop zoas in because of the vivid color. What corals would you suggest for a biginner. I dont want to get something and then it dies after a while. Im the person that will buy and not go scuba for corals. I broke my friends nose and wrist for taking corals from the ocean. I love our reefs and ont think its right just to take and hope to get away with it

but a koran angel may 2well love them too

I ddint know that korans love zoas. Or do they love any corals? if that is the case then i will sell my koran angel before i start stocking any coral

Well if you assaulted our friend then I dont know what you are going to do to a lot of members on this forum who collects local soft corals. :p

And the koran angel should love all corals.

Well my friend had it coming. I get upset when there is so many places where you can buy beutiful corals. I rather choose to buy. when i scuba i dont touch. if you touch you kill. Well thats what i think anyway.

i hear from CarlosFrazao that you are the go to guy for corals. what advice do u have for a beginner. I would really like to get some frootloop zoas to start off with because their color is amazing . Please can u help me. i will really appreciate any help.

Going by US hobbyist names will get you nowhere. Doing an image search on fruitloop zoas will give you ten different ones. Best is to post a pic of the ones you want and then see if anyone can help you out.

The ones with funky US names are very seldomly seen in SA. Best you can hope for are eagle eyes, dragon eyes, pin wheels - those are common in SA and very pretty. Got some frags of all of those

Even though that photo is photoshopped to beyond realistically I don't know of anyone that has those. I have not seem them on the SA forums before.
