Hey guys! I'm back! The Doc said I got a severe iritant in my eye from the zoanthid and that its not palytoxin, bla bla bla! I couldn't understand a word he was saying. He gave me some antibiotic eye drops, inflamation pills and painkiller. He said It should go away in a few days and he said I should go and see a ophthalmologist tomorrow or Friday.

I'm not gonna ask how you got zoa juice in the eye...

only have to worry when you taste copper/metallic taste, then the palyotoxin has hit the blood stream

glad all is ok, ER will prob rinse the eye and socket and give you activated carbon if they suspect poisoning

Wow,
Always running around collecting these guys never actually thought about getting a squirt in the eye and the repercussions!!!
But yeah everyone they do shoot water about a meter!
Imagine doing collections with safety goggles on! . .. Reckon the 'civilians' on the beach will have a hellova laugh:lol::lol::biggrin:

hahahaha, sorry to hear dude but seriously, in the eye? how? sounds to me like we should wear HAZMAT suits while fragging zoas

Hey guys! My eye is so much better this morning. It's a bit red and puffy and you can't even see It. I still went to go see the ophthalmologist and he said It's just a small eye infection, nothing to worry about.

Rahhh bud, if anyone else ever gets the juice in the eye, we will remember this thread and feel ok:thumbup:
