Playstation or Wii and its viewing device?

OK ... let the gamers speak! Its been a lllloooonnnngggg time since I played some games so was thinking of getting me a Playstation or Wii and one of them 3D TV's .... Don't want to go bigger than like 50" as not enough room to go so far back Using a 32"Sony Bravia LCD at the moment but can maybe get a 40"-43" .... and totally confused on the gaming console to get .... Was leaning towards PS coz of utilizing the bluray player to watch movies but kinda like the Wii coz of the cool sports gadgets and more actively involved in the games ... What are the different hard drive sizes in the Sony's for? What say the serious gamers?
 
Must agree on the xbox with kinect. Makes the Playstation move and the Wii look archaic. Make sure you have enough room though to use the kinect properly. I think the recommended distance is 1.2m to1.8m from the TV. If you have any kids they will LOVE the kinect.

The kid thats going to love it is ME!:lol: .... Will ask the shops around here ... What about these 3D tv's .... worth the extra $$$$ or just go HD is enough.....
 
I cant compare it to the play station cause i don't have one , but my Xbox on LED is awesome !

P.S got two nice nennies , will post pics tomorrow - one more green that the purple you asked for , but worth a look.

Xbox Chikaboo xbox... xbox rules. I did alot of research before getting and it came out top. Rather get a Blu-Ray player separately.
 
X Box sucks monkey nuts
PS3 Rules. how often do you play those stupid move games anyway.
WII is the biggest waste of time

Have to get a decent home theater as well so might as well get a separate player ....

Not so much move games ... I'm a huge fan of games like Need For Speed and as for shooting games ... I'm used to things like Duke Nukem and those kinda games ... Definately not into stragedy games like kings quest and so forth .....

Cool ... so if I go for the PS route then I can get the cheaper PS3 with a small hard drive coz I got plenty of storage device's ...

Yeah thats fine - get the bluetooth media remote aswell - really helps when you using it for movies and music - you can use it to skip songs while you are in another room :lol:
 
Also never done the online gaming scene ... I hear the guys have a blast of a time ... Any preferred console for that .... And Keegan told me about a firmware upgrade on the PS3 for 3D? Know anything about it? Also what about prices of units versus game prices or accessory prices ... Like maybe PS is cheaper than the others but will cost me an arm and a leg for the games or expensive Xbox but cheap accessories .....
 
the games on the X-box are slightly cheaper but there alot more titles on the x-box
I love Need for speed and the gameplay and graphics are excellent on the PS3.
You can check on PS3.co.za and maybe you can pick up a good deal on a console or games there. I get my games from kalahari.net - they are way cheaper than the shops - and delivery is free over R300 - check with kalahari for the price on a console aswell!

Online gaming on xbox is very simple not sure about ps3, also with ps I think you need to use a credit card to register for online gaming?(remember sony got hacked:tt2:) whereas xbox you buy these pre-paid vouchers from musica and so on, just load it and you done...

Both consoles are nice, PS3 has some titles only available on it, and so does Xbox.

If you want the 3d option , PS3. If you dont, Xbox.

To balance this out, get both. :whistling: :lol:

Chikaboo ... Go to a Makro or Game, they normally have both connected. Play yourself sick on them, then make your choice.
