I have a couple of questtions for those zoa pro`s

1.) How deep should they be placed in the tank
2.) do they like MH and t5 of both.
3.) high flow / medium flow.

I have two small colonys, they have really never done well in my tank.

    All my water parameters below

    nitrate 0
    phosphate 0
    sg 1.026
    ph 8.3
    calcium 400
    mg 1250
    kh 3.5 meq/l
    temp 25
    nitritre 0

    I have 3 39w blue t51s and 2 70w mh

TBH regis Zoos are pretty bulletproof BUT, I did notice they did not like being 15-20cm under MH, and were much happier deeper down

Nice water parameters by the way, spot on dude! Could not be more perfect

the problem with zoa's an all other soft corals is that they like a bit of nutrients and really grow when they have nutrients. So maybe they not doing well becausd your phosphate and nitrate levels are so low.

Agreed. In addition, zoas do well under both MH and T5. However, there are variables involved, such as intensity of the MH, individual reflectors for the T5, and number of T5 bulbs.

    They prefer medium flow.
