Christo - I am not running this. BUT - if you are planning to go wholly SPS, then I would think that this type of reactor would be worth it. I know that Mekaeel had a Zeo reactor going. But not too sure about phytoplankton.
The other "thing" you can do, is have a phyto-plankton farm, and a zooplankton farm going - to feed your corals...

Cool, I think they good. Thsy just not always straight forward like a skimmer...
Cultures can crash or get infected. But it's all food for your corals so hey...

I've also been wanting to try one... Maybe one day, my wallet must mature a bit first ;)

I was using the supplements but with no reactor. No reactor=No Zeolith's
Snappy also runs his tank in this way.

Hey Lanzo, the stones hold bacteria. And everytime the reactor is flushed usually twice a day, it releases bacteria into the tank.

is that special stones or normal building gravel?

so the bacteria is a food sores for the corals.

No it is some special type of stone.
The Idea behind the Zeovit method is to achive low to extremley low nutrients. This is what makes their SPS tanks look so good.
