Your First Marine Invertebrates - Choosing a Clean up crew - CUC

Thanks, buth heres the problem, i live in a tiny $#it hole with no petshops catering for marine aquariums, which online shops can i order from?

I know there is a couple of guys who are in Bloem that could maybe help with a LFS close by. Also if you check the sponsor section there is a couple who ship country wide as well, petstop or dorry's spring to mind.

Thanx EFJ, im going to wait this one out first. i did some tests this weekend again, all tested well except for the nitrate 20pmm and nitrite at 0.5 and salinity tested at 1.029. i had no algae or diatom bloom as of yet, i guess im just eager to add my first livestock.

Just take your time. Your salinity is high. I woukd remove some water and add RO. Maybe the experts can assist with how much that should be. Do you have any live sand or rock in your tank.

Thanks Rf. I did a 10% water change and didnt add any salt. Salinity is at 33ppt will let it sit for a while and add my salt to up it to 35. Yes ive got LR and its cured already. Im still cycling.

1.025 is what you aiming for. 1.029 is what you said you have, so don't add more salt.

Did you remove any water. Just adding RO is more like a top up, which we usually do almost daily anyway.

No removed 10l of aquarium water and added 10l of RO. My is SG now sits at 1.022. From here i am gonna add 25g of Red Sea Salt and i will then be at 1.026
