yellow watchman gobies

    Hey guys I got a yellow watchman about a week ago he was around for about 5 days then 1 morning I see him then since that sat mornimg after 5 days I have not seen him .
    I heard they go into hiding when they arrive at a new reef . Wondering if any 1 else had a same experience thanks guys

    gobies will burrow and he probably has made his burrow at the back of the tank, best is to look during feeding time

    Yeah, mine also went hiding the first day, until he spotted the pistol shrimp, hes n brave bugger now, think hes the boss of the tank...

    Hey bud I got him last monday he was out till sat that pass he shoukd eat a few bites then sometime he come to the top of the tank ... but ever since sat around 11 he ate an I have not seen him . I had 1 before but this guy behaviour is totally different from the had I had prior ....

    No luck well it 3 days since I have seen him .hope hes k
    His guite a bright yellow .... fellow ..

    Other than pulling your tank apart, you have to wait it out, otherwise we fear the worst! Sorry. :(

    @mandarin hate ask this how sure are you he didn't jump? Is your tank closed or open on top? I have found jumpers in the strangest places. Do you have other animals in the house ie. cat or dog that if he jumped he could have been taken out, sorry for asking but it is a possibility.

    they can hide for days/weeks, my pistolshrimp and goby i never saw for 3 months, i still only see them every 1-2 weeks at night
    so as mentioned above, check the floor, take tank apart or fear the worst, there is not much else i am afraid

    Thanks guys my tanks I wait it out hopefully he k my tank got a hood got a dogs husky an a american pit bull but they dont come in the house lol .. I will keep u guys posted .. theres nothing else in my reef that can eat him . Well normally when a fish dies I always fimd him or her at the buttom of tank being eaten by the shrimps or hermit crabs .. guess I jus got to watch an wait cheers guys

    Dont stress it happens, he can be missing for days and then pop up. I once bough a third fire shrimp and he went missing. I swear to you i nver saw him again until about 4 months later when i took the rocks all out, imagine my surprise.

    Guys just a update last night at around 10.30 pm I saw my yellow watch swimming on the top of my tank I was shocked gave him some food he ate but this morning his no where to be found strange but I saw him after 5 days last night ...

    Cool. One of the first fish i got for my tank was a tangoroa goby. He disappeared for the first 4 months, even now i only see it every month or two
