Have you tried some flake food? Ocean Nutrition is a good make.

Do you eat when you are stressed and in an environment which is totally unfamilair... And that after you have been in a few unfamiliar and stressful environments?
Eventually, either hunger or stress will overcome... The trick is to help stress not to overcome.
If I was the goby, I'd be missing my acro.

how long has it been in the tank and what does the fish look like, does he seem plump or thin and sickly? its prob stress from moving so not much to worry about
but if he is sickly then that could be the cause

They are very picky it seems, i got one that was not interested in eating anything i gave him. From what i read they have super fast metabolisms so if you dont get him to eat soon he is a gonner as they are usually half starved when they get to the fish store

How new is your tank. Did it finish cycling? What other fish do you Have? Did you check to see if it ate at the lfs before you bought it?

Add vita chem to the frozen food that should encourage the goby to eat... You can get the vita chem at aquatic vision... Oh it's the blue label...

Sometimes these tiny gobies get stressed out by larger fish in the tank and don't eat. I keep these little guys with my seahorses and they definitely eat plenty without the presence of large, boisterous fish.

Sad news, Same happened to mine, alone in the tank and only lasted 5 days I think. Showing no interest in food at all.

First one I ever tried simply refused to eat. Soon became part of the nitrogen cycle.
Second one ate from day 1, had it now 2 years plus and still going strong.
Even getting swallowed by my jaw fish, then spat out didn't curtail it's appetite.

I suspect some are caught and transported badly, they get overly stressed and never recover.

One bit of advice, if you get another one, give it a few weeks for your system to further mature.
A stable system with the right parameters gives one a much bigger chance of success.
