Welcome Xavier! A pic or model name/number would help.

A models name/number would also help :D

A very warm WELCOME to MASA Xavier!

Basic setup:
(please bear with me - might sound that I am mocking you - but I am not :)
1) sump usually comes in the bottom of the stand, right
2) with down-pipe coming from tank, entering the sump on the one side of the sump (either left or right)
3) now - skimmer comes in the 1st compartment, where the down-pipe from the tank's over-flow end's up in, right?
4) water then flow through the sump, to the last compartment where the return pipes then sit, right?

Do you have any other reactors, other than the skimmer?

The return pump should have piping that goes straight back into the tank - either as a single outlet, or as a "spray bar" over the top of the down, that stretches down the complete length of the tank, right?

Please let me know if I am wrong in any of these - with regards to your tank...

Many thanks.

BTW - is you skimmer an In-sump model? Or external to the sump?

Hi there ,
Now the aquarium has come complete with sump , filters and skimmer , I managed to install the pvc piping as per the diagram and will try to describe :
1)down pipes go into first compartment with most filter media .
2)Second compartment as per diagram is suppose to house the skimmer (which is submersible) and the pump to complete the system , trouble is the two together do not fit .
3)through correspondance with supplier they sent over a larger skimmer and would nedd to send over a larger sump or second option is to have one constructed out of glass , locally .
I will get a hold of some photos and forward to you ,
Thanking you
Xavier.

Hi Xavier - many thanks. How big (+- in cm) are your sump compartments?
I would suggest removing ALL the other filter material in the first compartment, and place the skimmer in there, if it would fit.... MUCH MUCH better way of doing things....
