worm or pest or?

    Looks like some kind of filter feeder. My guess is its ok, but lets see what others say.

    Agreed, or some form of sponge. I have them as well. They wont harm anything

    Here is some more info that might have been useful.

    they range from 1mm to 2cm in length, diameter of up to 1mm and are semi clear.
    i have not seen anything living in them, or coming out. they look jelly like.
    i thought it might be some kind of sponge, like the pinapple sponge, but it really is just a tube, no head.
    the ones in the image are all about 2cm long. 1mm diam.

    i have loads of tube worms, and they are all white with a hard shell and a visible little fan dude coming out from time to time. they also grow differently, IE, against the rock in a network, where are these tube thingies grow randomly away from the rock. in a way its like a cocoon of jelly, but like i said, still nothing seen coming out.

    I have a million of them, they are fine, leave them alone just be careful what you watch on TV, they hate reality shows.
