Guys, I would like to share this with you.

Another guy posted on a photographic forum how to get the eyes sharper, but I could not get it right. I then found another way of doing something similar. Obviously not as good as the other guy's idea, but at least I came close...lol

This is copied from a thread I belong to on another forum. See the difference on the eyes, mouth as well as the shirt... (by the way, it is one of my boys).

Hope this can help some of you, even with your fish pics:

1st Pic- standard "bad quality" pic:

    2nd Pic- the better one:

And this is how I did it:

Not for the birds..... I for one feel like a four year old in a trigonometry class. Looks like you gonna have to fork out some more money to the to the fairy soon.

    lol @mudshark's fairy quote! :)

intresting idea sean, post shooting and editing of pics is an area i have tio start playing with. Ive only ever gone witrh straight shot pics, i like the artistry thats needed to get a good image without the post edit suits, however there is so much more one can do with edits if you know how. So this is intresting and definatley something i'll get into later on

Imagine the fish pics you can edit to get the eyes right. You right about the tooth fairy, he actually broke the tooth playing rugby. And we never hear the end of it:lol:

Well worth trying Crispin. A bit difficult in the beginning, but it gets easier. I'll tell you this, it is more difficult for me to get the black frame around the pic than it is editing the eyes. It takes like forever. To give you an example- I used about 40 steps to be able to get the black frame, but fortunately found an easier way this afternoon . And no Dean, not with a permanent marker:P:

You never saw his mom dude. When I got pregnant with him, she left me. I raised him all alone:whistling::p

Thank god for photoshop, now koekemoer can at last make his pics look half decent. R20 000 worth of camera and all he can do is take blurry pictures of children. :tt2:

And this is a pic I overdid on purpose, exaggerating it a bit, to show how nice it works:

Now see the difference between the bottom, standard pic, and the pic above. Check out the eyebrows.

That's like telling your insurance company that you hit the tree just to check if your airbags were working.:p

Nah, the tooth fairy comes cheap, fortunately it is one of his "melk tande", so he still needs to loose it:thumbup:
