    Hi guys
    Thanks for participating
It seems there is an event that causes My virtual disk to go offline and I need to know how to fix it
Only way to bring it back online is to restart and I am worried that it may cause problems with the data

Clarify virtual disk, you mean a VHD for a hyper-v VM?
Or is it a storage spaces pool?

Anything in the event viewer about it?

sorry for the delayed response - work mad and kids sick
it is a storage spaces pool virtual disk
from what i understand server , pools disks together , and then makes a virtual disk , that spans across the pool
the event seems to happen on a weekend , so i am sure to isolate it , should be quite easy , as the office is closed.
if the event happens , you still have the physical disks in the device manager , but the virtual disk is offline
i have very good desktop knowledge , advanced server knowledge - not so much
    thanks
