My little ocean in a glass box:

Tank dimensions : My tank is a PowerLab M40 M 40x40x40
Lighting : AI Prime HD+
Filtration : Boyu FP-58A
Skimmer : Bubble Magus Curve 5
Flow : Jebao OW-10

Maintenance:

My tank has been running for just over 7 months now and through endless online research as well as trial and error I feel as though I haven't even scratched the surface of understanding everything that goes into a successful reef but I am loving every moment! Since I am relatively new to the hobby I have learned to try and keep it as simple as possible therefore I do a 30l water change every week and test for calcium and magnesium once every two weeks, if needed I supplement with RedSea Foundation Supplements. As for any tips not sure I am qualified to give those out yet, but I will say research seems to be the most important factor for me so far.

Hi, This is my little pico tank.

I do a 5L water change every 3 days and small fresh water top ups every morning. I intended for it to be coral only but a friend of mine had two cardinals in his tank and one was being bullied relentlessly. He asked whether I could take it and I agreed. In no time his fins grew back beautifully and he has gained so much more confidence! He used to hide under the rocks for most of the day but now he grabs food straight from the tweezers. Hopefully I can upgrade his tank once he starts to really get big but for now I think he is a much happier little fish.

Coral feeding includes some polyp lab reef-roids and alternate with some seachem phytoplankton

Hardware:
28L square tank.
Jebao ow 10 wave maker (on it's lowest setting.)
Dophin TF-300 internal filter
Zetlight Aqua ZA1201 Marine LED

System has been running for 5+ months.

This is one of my three tanks. It's a handbuilt nano I made for my son's bedroom that is roughly 50litres DT and 25litres in the sump. I built it using cheap tank parts, irrigation fittings (never doing that again), a small side table ordered off Superbalist and a custom built support frame which sits inside the cabinet. It's been running for roughly five months (since April 2018).

Hardware
Jebao DCS2000 Pump
2X Jebao 25W Wave Makers
100w Heater
Bubble Magus Nano Skimmer
Marine Pure Bio Balls
Red Sea Carbon
Zetlight UFO with Wifi Controller
Bubble Magus ATO
Hailea Pump [for ATO in which I run Kalkwasser]
Jebao 4 Channel Dosing Pump

Supplements
Seachem Reef Base 1
Seachem Reef Base 2
Iodine
Polpy Lab Acids
Polyp Lab Reef Roids

Maintenance
Weekly Skimmer Clean
Weekly 10% WC
Clean Glass

Livestock
2x Blue Velvet Damsels
1x Bangai Cardinal
1x Flame Hawkfish
1x Fire Shrimp
2x Hermits
4x Nassarius Snails
10+ Turbo Snails (won't stop breeding)

Coral
4x Medium SPS Colonies [3 acro and a tort I think]
Duncan
Scoly
Lobo
Torch
GSP
Red Monti
Jedi Monti
Zoa Garden
Rainbow Anenome
Clam
Bubble Coral
2x Assorted Softies
Gorgonian
2x Ricordia
Chalice
Lepto
Elegance

What I've Learned
Not a big fan of softies so I've focused on the growth of my SPS, which is great. Big takeouts are high flow on timers (my wavemakers alternate on manual timers), huge lighting (I run my UFO at 100% for about 6-7 hours a day excluding ramp up and ramp down) and PATIENCE!

Mischif93's 150L Cube

So not a recent photo (I will be sure to snap a more recent one) but the only one I have at the moment.
I have a couple more corals since this photo and have moved some corals around as well as have my RBTA split and both have grown much bigger than in the photo.

Short background of this specific tank, it was my upgrade tank from my nano marine aquarium which I ran for about 2 years if I remember correctly, this was also my first marine aquarium which was subsequently also first freshwater aquarium which I converted marine.
I started this tank early last year so soon it will be running for 2 years.

Previously it has gone months without water-changes reason being that currently I'm in a very demanding position at work so I also haven't been checking my water parameters, but I think I'll do that today.

I have in my sump a mixture of Chaeto algea, liverock, bio balls, filter floss, Seachem Matrix and Seachem carbon.

One thing I try do with my tank is I prefer to small frags and watching them grow, which is the case in my tank; however, I have bought corals to.

Live stock
1 x Fire Goby
1 x Blue Hermit Crab
1 x Sand Sifting Star Fish
1 x Blue Linckia Star Fish
1 x Psychedelic Mandarin
1 x Maxima Clam
1 x Purple Short Spine Sea Urchin (Deep Purple  so at a quick glance it appears to be black)
2 x Cleaner Shrimp
2 x Clown Fish (Pair)
2 x Blue Green Chromis
2 x Rose Bubble Tip Anemones

Corals
Pulsing Xenia
Green Star Polyps
Blue Snowflake Polyps
Metallic Brain Coral
Various Mushroom Corals
Green Frogspawn
Various Zoas
Devil's Finger Coral

Hardware
Bubble Magus Q3 HOB Skimmer (Amazing HOB skimmer)
Jebao Wavemaker OW-10 (Replaced my Vortech MP10)
Ecotech Radion Gen 1 LED Unit
Sebo WP-5000 Return Pump
Sicce Scuba 300 Heater
2 x Zetlight D100 Dosers

Future Plans
Carry on building my DIY controller
Get 2 or 3 Fireshrimp
Maybe get 1 more cleaner shrimp
Get a bunch of snails
Get more corals (obviously)
Maybe get an Inferno anemone

Dosing
Total of 14ml Daily of Seachem ReefComplete
Total of 12ml Daily of Seachem ReefCarbonate

I use RedSea Coral Pro Salt

Planning on getting an additional doser or two in the future.

Was so looking forward to this competition when Live Aquatics announced it a week or so back. But now i'm really disappointed to see that you need a running tank to win this. Would be nice getting back into the hobby with this. I'm sure there are other members feeling the same way, especially those that want to start for the first time. Just me 2c.
+1

My innovative marine fusion 10

I keep it really simple with this tank.

Lighting is a Kessil a160we on a timer, on for 6 hours a day.

Running an eheim 50w heater and a sicce syncra 1.0 for return and all the flow in the tank.

In the rear sump I have a media basket with marine pure balls and I occasionally run seachem carbon and aluminium oxide.

Dosing is done when I topup the tank, by adding seachem fusion 2 (alkalinity) in the morning and fusion 1 (calcium and trace elements) in the evening.

I do a water change once every week or two and clean the glass weekly.

Feeding a small amount of ocean nutrition nano reef pellets daily.

That’s it
