My wife's amw37. All original hardware. I use a combo of lighting which includes a 150w metal halide at 20k. I now need my own IMG_20180906_140534.jpg

    • 2 x Filter Mat Square 260 x 150mm
    • Seeded Media from old system
    Skimmer and flow
    • Bubble Magus curve 5 from old system (24 months)
    • 2 x Jeboa OW25 wavemakers (Can run as master and slave). These are super silent.

I have installed my STC controller, a fan for cooling, auto feeder and Autoaqua Smart ATO with around 20L tank for ATO.

I have added my live sand and rock in the new tank, hoping there is minimal cycle. I will not do much different from my other tank, it was running perfectly, minimal effort and everything was healthy.

Stock wise, I will see how its goes. My clowns were on a rampage and anything new was getting hammerd.

I dose 3ML vodka daily. Do a water change in 3-4 months (25Litres). When I remember, I throw in some Reef foundation ABC powder. I clean the glass once a week/2 weeks.

I have a Powerlab M60. Bought the complete system. Quite a simple system and it about 9 months old. It’s about 180/190 liters in total with a 160 liter display and a 30 liter sump. The sump is only a two stage sump with the first chamber being heater, chemical media, and some live rock and the second chamber being skimmer, return and also for where I top off/dose. In the display I have one SunSun JVP-130 wavemaker for flow and a DIY Powerlab LED light. Once a week I dose 1.5 tsp of alkalinity dissolved in 250ml freshwater and 1 tsp calcium dissolved in 250ml freshwater and also once a week I dose 2ml of iodide. I manually top up about 15 liter per week (I usually top up every 2 days tho just a bit). As for media I replace carbon and phosphate remover once a month. I also clean my skimmer cup when necessary.

As for livestock I have a mixed reef with easy to keep corals and fish I have 4 clowns, 1 springer damsel and 2 bangaii cardinals.

    Equipment:

    Powerlab skimmer
    Heater
    Grech return
    SunSun JVP-130
    DIY Powerlab LED

    Dosing:

    Powerlab Calcium
    Powerlab Alkalinity
    Seachem Iodide

    Chemical media:

    Powerlab Carbon
    Powerlab Equilibrium Phosphate Remover

My aquarium is over 1.5 years old now. A Boyu TL550 with a Tunze 9004 skimmer, upgraded to having its controller. A zetlight 1201 and a Sunsun jvp130 powerhead. I have 10kg of Blue Treasure aroganite and about 20kg of manmade dry rock, there is also about 15kg of mixed liverock. Two compartments in the rear sump are filled with mixed liverock rubble. I have an aqua h20 300w heater. Salinity checks are done by comparing my Fluval needle hydrometer to my floating hydrometer (I still need to get a refractometer). I have a large rock full of green mushrooms, a small rock with a red metallic mushroom and a rock with a cabbage coral. I have one clown (Hardy), one blue damsel (Papa Smurf) and three Chromis (Chase, Speedy and Joe). I have two nassarius snails, various hermits and two small white stars amongst the many bristlestars

Changed the lights to two Zetlight 1201 with controller.Removed the standard skimmer.Replaced it with a Tunze 9004.Tank is doing well.Lots of different corals, slightly over stocked with fish.4 clowns,3 cromis,1sandsifter,3 wrasses, some hermit crabs, bristle star fish, and 1 blue lobster.A variety of corals.
Maintenance is very easy.Daily empty skimmer cup.Vinegar dose when I wake up.Using Aquamedic reef salt.Running some Matrix carbon,Purigen.Added two rw8 wave makers.Chiller will only switch on when temp gets to 28 degrees.Weekly change 10% water.Clean the sponge filter and clean the glass.I try to keep my hands out of the tank.Feed once daily with mysis and seafood mix.Every two days I use ocean nutrision pellets.I test the water every two weeks and everything is spot on.Use fuel twice a week for the corals.

Tank is a starfire 60cm cube with sump. I've added a small std 1.5 foot tank to the system for extra coral space etc. Light is a Radion gen 1,skimmer is a curve 5, flow is provided by 1 tunze 6105 and 2 RW4. My return is a 8000l/h Jecod pump. Also running a Waterboy algae-x reactor with carbon and phosphate remover. Temp is controlled by a Stc1000 controller with two 200w heaters and a chiller for summer. I don't do much water changes so i dose redsea Ca,Kh and Mg.
Its a mixed reef with softies, LPS and trying some SPS. I only have 6 fish currently.
