Will this Work

    Hi Gents,

    I need some advice ,

    can i build the following size tank ( rimless ) using 4mm glass,

    350 H
    450 L
    450 W

    I will brace the tank on the sides and bottom as much as possible, im building this tank for a friend ans want to make sure it will not break a few months down the line.

    Please let me know your thoughts

    Uhm 4mm sounds a bit on the thin side.Check the link on the left hand side of the main page.There is a link to a glass safty factor.Hope this helps.

    no tank should be built from 4mm IMO

    Junz, I built a holding tank for my Bengaii from 6 mm (rimmless) 450 sq x 450 h...no issues

    What is the glass thickness on standard 90L and 60L Daro tanks?

    They are about 90*30*30cm. And I think they are 4cm. Please correct me, I'm now too lazy too go out to the garage and measure one. And it is cold outside. ;)

    Yes, daro 3ft tanks is totally rimless and made from 4mm at most, have had a couple and never had any issues.
