I set up a beautiful 30g freshwater tank for my fiance's son who's 8. It just has some platies and tetra. Well, of course, as is usually the case, a few of the fish disappeared (I know one got stuck in the filter, not sure about the other one). When the kid notices it, he gets all upset and accuses me of siphoning up the fish while I was cleaning his tank. Forget the fact that I'm a WWM crew member, have been keeping aquariums since before his parents even met, have published articles on fish keeping... I'm actually defending myself to a kid who isn't even tall enough to do a water change in a 4ft tall tank set up. ::sigh:: I swear, if I ever find that dead fish, I'm going to stick it in his ear... :whistling:

Pregnancy is going well... except that when my baby's daddy commented about how it wasn't very mother-like for a patty to eat her young, I said maybe it wasn't always such a bad idea. :p

I should have taken pictures off all of the cars my son has wrecked. My all time favorite was when I woke up at 1:00 AM, found my teenage son not in bed where he was supposed to be, pillows were under his blanket to fake a body. As I got to my driveway with keys in hand to go find him I realize not just one of my cars were missing, but two! Later I found out that two missing cars were the least of my problems for the day. The police called and asked me if I knew my car was on fire! Things did not go well after that!

Ya, I would have been pulled off of life support by now too.

He is lucky that he didn't actually start the fire, apparently one car had stalled, so he came back home to swipe another one, to get the first stolen car back home, in the mean time the stalled one caught fire.

I can only imagine what the police thought when I asked which one of my two missing cars was on fire, and told them that my teenage son had taken two of my cars and I didn't know where he was. Ya, we had a lot of attention the next few days!

Haha... yeah. I do get a little disappointed when he doesn't get all my great "external feritilization" jokes. Oh well... nobody's perfect I guess. ;)
