We took a series of pictures of items we have in stock:thumbup: - this was of 11 corals, 1 algae and 1 anemone each under different lighting and this was the results.

Holy shit thats amazing how the black light shows different colours of such intensity!!

Can you have a black light fitted to your tank to help colours? Or would it have an adverse effect on the corals long term?

while i see where you are going with this, i dont believe its all like this
example when places like liveaquaria.com and uniquecorals.com show their WYSIWYG stock and people buy it, i have yet to see a complaint on a forum etc.
even on zeovit forums and TOTM places you see them.

i think the reason we dont get them is that our order quatities are not big enough to get the mutations, and also maybe we supplies favour the larger USA based wholesalers

i just can believe that all good looking corals are "engineered"

I do not know about harmful, but adding them to your hood is not going to make a difference:(

They penetrate only a few cm into the water and make the water milky

im with dallasg on this. If you look at the wysiwyg part of divers den they give you the exact light that is used for the coral in the pic and it usually is a 400W 20K MH and no actinic or anything exotic
