some of my zoas are contracting with the outside ridge closing down instead of inwards. does anyone know why? . this is not a trick question .

How's the flow around them? Looks like they are trying to expell waste. I wouldn't worry. They usually come right again in a few hours.

interesting . the flow in tank is by two 2500 lph wm3s which alternate. so that is bout 22 times an hour.

OK, let me tell you where I am coming from. There is an old man in Uitenhage where I grew up the has a tank that is older than Noah. He once called it sneezing. Your scape creates spots where the flow is less and then it is more difficult for them to get rid of waste products. So I'm not talking about overall cycling, I'm talking about specific flow at that exact location. They will be ok though. Just relax.

BTW, you guys should see this old mans tank. It is something all of us on here can only dream about. :)
