    Great idea,

Think we have a similar product here called filla foam

Any suitable 2 part epoxy epoxies you know off that are marine safe. Judging by the bottles its for aircrafts, possibly a type used to manufacure surfboards might work as certain epoxies may chow the foam. Wonder if AMT Composites has any thing.

    So just wanted to share.
    But like i said.

My next 3 viewable side tank will have a background like this.

I made something similar years ago for one of my freshwater tanks.
I used a large piece of styrofoam that I bought at Sagex, then the fun started by shaping it with acetone - it eats the foam very quick so trick is to have a spray bottle at hand with water in, when you happy with the section that you placed the acetone on spray tols of water on it - this witt dilute the acetone and stop it from dissolving the foam. once the whole pics of foam was shaped the way I wanted it was time to seal it and start to add colour.

The next step was to add cement oxide colouring to resen and hardner and to paint on the foam, there is a few colours you can use and mix the colours to make your own - this was done aver the whole piece of foam. then I used food grade epoxy resin and hardner to do the final coat and make sure that all other resin had been sealed and covered.
Once that had cured I used lots of the thin see through double sided tape ( the same stuff they on stickers and cars) to place on the back of the foam then stuck it to the inside of the tank.
