Sunset mode on the Radions looks good on the eyes not only for humans. Mosquito's gather in big numbers.

Not sure about now as I'm on holiday but a few weeks ago I was picking 5-10 out every day.

I changed light setting so all lights go off just before sunset ... problem solved

Insects seem to enjoy blue light (hence mosquito zapper thingys having blue tubes) so all sunset mode is doing is turning your tank into one huge insect attractant. You could charge your neighbours a fee for removing all their mosquitoes

I have mosquitos even in the winter and it started after I upgraded to the much bigger tank with a sump... my guess would be the humidity and not necessarily the blue light... or both

its definitely the blue lights, not so much the humidity. They are all over the ceiling.

They are rather big and a black type. Do not want to sleep in front of the tank wit that army waiting.

As I work in Sandton and leave early, I prefer a later light schedule. Light come on by 10:00, and go down at 22:00. at least I then get maximum viewing pleasure in the evenings. I should not forget the front sliding doors open. The above picture is the result thereof. Otherwise its not an issue.
