White tube anemone

    Surprisingly here they are about $15 cheaper than the pink / purple ones.

    Beautiful creatures. I got 4, a yellow, dark purple/black, reddish brown with black short tentacles and a white with purple bands.

    lovely pic. I like those tube anemones just afraid it might chow my small fish.

    Hmm... Wonder what one of those white anemones we find in the LFS would look like? Could we see the struggling zooxanthellae? Don't go and buy one now. Just wondering.

    Depends. These tube anemones as you well know do not contain zooxanthellae. But carpet anemone's etc... would be interesting to see. I have no desire to keep an anemone - I believe they should stay in the ocean.

    tube anemones are less likely to eat small fish than your carpet anemone.

    But you need to be careful with placement. The tentacles can reach further at night. And they will sting other corals. But they are not photosynthetic. So you can place them low down in your tank.
