I have a 54W T5 light fixture (4 x bulbs). I need some advice which bulbs to use... I have 2 white bulbs, 2 blue/white bulbs and 2 actinic bulbs. at the moment I have been using 2 actinics, 1 blue white and 1 white. Which combination will be the best? Is it true that the whiter the spectrum the more algae? Because my friend's spectrum is more blue and he is not getting any algae.

    Thanx in advance :)

if you going with Giessmann i would suggest as follows:

    1x aquablue +
    1x actinic +
    1x midday
    1x aqua pink

Thanx Blueberry but those bulbs that I mentioned, I already have them. I have been looking at Deltec bulbs and I'm really interested but it's gonna cost me a fortune! :(
